UConnect (VPN Access to Campus Resources)
University faculty and staff may access campus resources from an off-campus computer using a service called UConnect, which uses Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology.
Some campus resources you may connect to include:
- A desktop computer in your office or workspace
- A network shared drive
- Administrative Applications
Before you are able to use UConnect, you will need to request a UConnect account.
You can use the UConnect VPN by installing FortiClient to your laptop. Please follow the instructions below for personally owned device.
For University owned machines you can install FortiClient through your computer's designated app management platform:
- Managed University Windows Devices: Install from Software Center or Company Portal.
- Managed University macOS Devices: Install from Self Service
- Non-Managed University macOS Devices: Reach out to ithelp@louisiana.edu for manual installation
