Setting up your Moodle Profile is an important first step in creating your online student presence.
The calendar block appears on the right side of your Moodle dashboard and provides a color-coded, comprehesive overview of upcoming deadlines and University events. You can even add your own important dates to help you keep track of everything in one place!

To find your grades for a semester or a particular course, navigate to the top right of your screen in Moodle, select the menu next to your name, and choose "Grades."
You'll see your all of your courses and your current averages. Click a course to see individual assignment grades. When you will see your grades and results depends on the instructor.
If your course includes online assignments, you may need to upload a file or input the text directly into Moodle to complete the assignment.
Forums in Moodle allow you to have online conversations with instructors and classmates. They can be used for a variety of purposes ranging from informal social discussions to formal graded discussions. They are typically asynchronous -- not limited by place or time.
Due to vulnerabilities in internet browsers, updates to security features have been made which may cause problems with web based applications like Moodle.
One recent update to Chrome has cause issues that may cause you to receive a message like " logged in, but cannot associate your username
to connect to your Moodle page."
You can do a couple of things to get past this error:
Instructors are not required to open/make courses visible to students until the first day of class. Some instructors do open their courses before the start of classes, but many choose to wait. As long as your courses appear under Registered Classes in ULink there is no need to worry.
Your instructor will assign a variety of assessments in your course. The assessments can be graded assignments, graded forums, or graded tests. Moodle uses the word "quizzes" to describe all types of tests.
