GeauxWIFI

There's a new wireless service in town, GeauxWifi (and GeauxGuest, for all of you welcome guests!)

UL-WiFi is the former system that has served the campus well.  And well, it is time for a new system.  GeauxWiFi!

GeauxWiFi provides a newer backend system with an easier to use device registration system, and paves the way for Network Operations to start upgrading the wireless access points (AP's) around campus.

Instructions for registering your device(s)

Phase I

The following locations have been converted and are using the new authentication system.
  • LAC
  • Maintenance
  • Dupre Library
  • Athletics (does not include Tennis, Track and Soccer, or Cajun Field)
  • Heritage (as construction is completed)
  • Stephens
  • HL Griffin 
  • Baker 
  • Huger 
  • Hamilton 
  • Angelle 
  • Alumni Center 
Additional buildings will be done by geographic locations across campus (moves will occur between the end of the spring semester and July 15).  The rollout will be conservatively deployed so that any issues arising can be addressed, analyzed, and resolved promptly.

Phase II

The following locations will be converted the week of May 20, 2019.
  • Parking and Transit
  • Bonin
  • Coronna
  • Harris
  • Buchanan
  • Randolph

Phase III

The following locations will be converted the week of June 3, 2019.
  • Martin Hall
  • Girard
  • Foster Hall
  • FG Mouton 
  • UP
  • Declouet Hall
  • Moody
  • OK Allen
  • Mouton
  • Maxim Doucet 
  • Lee Hall
  • Broussard Hall

Phase IV

The following locations will be converted the week of June 10, 2019.

Phase V 

The following locations will be converted the week of June 17, 2019.

The following locations will be converted the week of June 24, 2019.

UL-Wifi has been officially phased out
