UL Lafayette OIT provides the following services for students. For assistance with any of these services, contact the IT Service Desk.

UL Lafayette uses Microsoft Outlook for email. Microsoft 365 email is accessible through the Outlook Email card in ULink or by logging in directly at webmail.louisiana.edu.

What is my UL Lafayette email address?

  • Your UL Lafayette email address uses your first and last name and follows the format: first.last1@louisiana.edu
    • If there is more than one student with the same name, a different number is added in the format: first.last#@louisiana.edu
  • Your email address is what others use to send you an email and what others see when you send them an email.
  • Your email address is different than your email login (for email login refer to section below).

What is my UL Lafayette email login?

  • Your email login uses your ULID and follows the format: ULID@louisiana.edu
    • Your email login is different than your email address (for email address refer to section above).
  • Log in to Webmail (opens in a new window) *consider bookmarking this site
    • Username: ULID@louisiana.edu
    • Password: ULID password

Moodle is UL Lafayette's learning management system (LMS), providing students with access to online course materials such as documents, videos, lectures, assignments, quizzes, grades, and other course resources. Students who are registered for classes are typically granted access to their Moodle courses on the first day of the semester. You can access Moodle by selecting the Moodle card in ULink or by visiting https://moodle.louisiana.edu directly.

To sign in:

  1. Go to https://moodle.louisiana.edu (consider bookmarking the site for future use).
  2. Sign in using your ULID@louisiana.edu username and ULID password.

For the best experience, use a desktop or laptop computer with the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. While Moodle can be accessed from a mobile device, some features and course content may have limited functionality or visibility.

Wireless internet access is available in most indoor and outdoor spaces through the eduroam network. Connect by choosing the eduroam wireless network, then use your ulid@louisiana.edu email address (ex. C00123456@louisiana.edu) and ULID Password to log in.

To connect your game console, TV, or other IoT device to the network please refer to WiFi: Manually Register your Device to GeauxWifi for more information.

Log in to your Microsoft 365 account at https://m365.cloud.microsoft/ with your official UL Lafayette email address (ulid@louisiana.edu) and ULID Password to access the following services:

Student Advantage

  • This program allows students to download and use the Microsoft Office suite of products on up to five personal computers. Click the Install Office button in the top right of the M365 portal to download.

Microsoft OneDrive for Business

  • OneDrive is Microsoft's cloud storage system. Use OneDrive to store, access, share, and collaborate on files. Access OneDrive by clicking the OneDrive icon in the M365 portal.

Office Online Apps

  • Microsoft Office Online is a collection of web-based apps available to create, collaborate, and edit files using your web browser. Access the online Office apps by clicking on the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. icons in the M365 portal.

Microsoft Teams

  • Microsoft Teams allows users to chat and collaborate with other users via instant message, audio/video calls and online meetings. Teams also integrates with OneDrive to allow for real-time, multi-user file editing and sharing from within chats and meetings. Teams is available as a desktop app, a smartphone/tablet app, and via the web by clicking the Teams icon in the M365 portal.

UL Lafayette offers PaperCut as a printing service to currently enrolled students. Every student is given an account credit of $25.00 per semester. At a cost of $0.10 per page, this gives each user the ability to print 250 pages.

ENS is the university’s emergency notification platform and uses texts, emails, phone calls, and more to inform the university community of imminent or existing dangers.

If you are unable to log in to UL Lafayette sites such as ULink, Moodle, Banner, etc., there are a few things to check that might be causing an issue. Please refer to What to do if you can't log in to a UL Lafayette site/system.
