Security Alert: Phishing Campaign Using Compromised Microsoft 365 Accounts

The IT Security Office has identified a phishing campaign targeting our University. Attackers use compromised Microsoft 365 accounts from other organizations to send emails that appear legitimate, often with shared document links and an external email warning banner. Opening these documents can lead to fake login pages that steal credentials, and some users have already been affected. Avoid clicking suspicious links or opening unexpected files, and report issues.
