What Is It?
For many years, the University has provided campus telephone services through an on-campus phone system. This system is outdated and is nearing the point where its hardware will no longer be supported by the vendor.
The University is transitioning to a new phone service utilizing online services. RingCentral will provide this service, known as Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
While some services supporting the legacy system remain available, all new service requests will be fulfilled using the RingCentral service.
Support for the legacy phone system will continue until all phone extensions have been successfully converted to the new RingCentral system.
