Red Flags to Watch For

  • Generic Greetings and Sign-offs: The email addresses you simply as "Dear Student" and is signed by a vague "Hiring Team" rather than a specific campus department, official, or hiring manager.
  • Too Good to Be True: Offers of high pay ($600/week) for minimal, fully remote work with "no prior experience required" are classic indicators of employment scams.
  • Vague Urgency: Encouraging you to immediately click a generic "[CLICK HERE]" link to apply.

What To Do If You Received This

  • If you did not interact with it: Delete the email immediately.
  • If you clicked the link or provided credentials: Please change your university account password immediately and contact the IT Service Desk for assistance with securing your account.
